FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prairie Village, KS – (April 14, 2016) Local radio disc jockey & filmmaker Kyle
Kristofer VanLanduyt’s short film “Siri Sail Tail” is an official selection in
the Kansas City Film Fest (KCFF) and will be premiering this Thursday, April
14th during the Heartland Student Shorts segment of the KCFF from 8:35pm –

VanLanduyt
is completing his degree in Animation-Entertainment and Game Art Design at

Tail” as his Capstone project for the degree. “Integration of both digital assets and backgrounds within
storytelling is now the norm in the industry. Even though it is easier in some
cases to use digital rather than actual location shoots, props or people, we
must remain vigilant and true to story without breaking continuity or
suspension of disbelief,” said Kyle VanLanduyt.
The
short film is a science fiction comedy and digital effects project utilizing
animation and live action to tell the story. “Siri Sail Tail” stars local
Prairie Village residents Dan Andersen, Rod Atteberry, Ricardo Garcia, Kyle
Kristofer, Skye VanLanduyt & Kaylee Miller & was produced by Anderson
& Sarah VanLanduyt & directed by Kyle Kristofer VanLanduyt.
Siri Sail Tail is the story of a squadron
aboard an aircraft carrier receiving a directive to use automatic targeting
systems only. An unidentified target is located on radar. The alert aircraft is
launched to intercept the target on its maiden test flight with the new targeting
system and encounters problems.
